contents: On 5 February 1849, King William II issued a patent to the Dutch printer Anthony Binger for his invention: glyphography. The same year Binger gave the patent to his brother, Marcus Hyman Binger, an accountant and bookseller and 'owner of glyphographic equipment'. This piece describes 'the secret of plate preparation suitable for glyphography'.
