contents: The inside of the bibliobus of Oostwoud, 1975. Originally, mobile libraries were used in the countryside or in new urban districts as a temporary solution until a permanent branch could be established. Libraries were often established at places where mobile libraries stopped. The bibliobus is, however, still a popular and efficient alternative.
