contents: This "Groot comptoir almanach" was printed by Gillis Joosten Saeghman for the heirs of Michiel Colyn, Admiralty printer in Amsterdam. The title page shows the Amsterdam Exchange. Saeghman was one of the most important publishers of almanacs in the Northern Netherlands. He printed hundreds of thousands of almanacs in all sorts of editions and formats. Office almanacs are among the oldest Dutch almanacs. This one contained, among other things, a list of annual markets, gave the positions of the planets and saint's days and gave advice on health and on the planting and sowing of crops.
