contents: After the superfluous water had been drained from the sheets by the presses, they went to a drying shed or loft. There they were hung up to dry - seven or eight sheets together and folded in the middle - from cords made of fig rope. To do so the woman on the right uses a T-shaped stick. Just as the sorting of rags, this part of paper making was a typical job for women.
