contents: This edition of the "Gysbreght van Aemstel" is a monument of the 'Nieuwe Kunst' (Dutch Art Nouveau) in the Dutch book. It is notably the work of the painter-graphic designer Antoon der Kinderen, who was responsible for the overall decoration: the actual decoration and the graphic and typographical design. The architect H.P.Berlage also cooperated in the edition for the designs of the scenery did the composers Bernard Zweers and later Alfons Diepenbrock for the music.
