contents: Two pages from another 'Tboeck vanden leven Jhesu Christi', printed by Gerard Leeu in Gouda. The layout is the same as that of a medieval manuscript. The text is from the prologue in which 'die Mensche' asks 'Scriptura' to explain God and the Creation. The illustration, a woodcut coloured by hand, was printed from another woodblock than the previous example, but the depiction is the same. The large bookcase on the left shows the usual way of storing books: flat and stacked on top of one another.
