contents: A 19th-century manual in which bookbinding is explained in 35 chapters. It also contains some illustrations, but far too few to really explain the ins and outs of bookbinding. Yet the authors presented 'the subject so clearly and understandably that, like the masters and their assistants, the apprentices could also make good use of this book'.
