contents: In 1863 it was half a century since the Netherlands (up until 1830 together with Belgium) had become a kingdom. To celebrate that joyous fact a large, festive procession was held in which the typographical associations "De Nederlandse drukpers" and "Voorzorg en Genoegen" were allowed to have floats. They can be seen in this print: the drivers, choirs with pennants, the procession with the typographers themselves, chariots with a fully equipped printing shop, a lithographic company, a bookbindery and bookshop, all drawn by horses.
