contents: This is a Dutch adaptation by W. Metz, with chromolithographs after the eight drawings by George Cruickshank, about the disastrous result of excessive drinking, which appeared for the first time in 1847. This picture shows only the beginning. The book is a concertina-type book with the text on the one side and on the other - and vice versa - the illustrations with two times two lines of rhymed text underneath.
