contents: Reprint of "Een aardig prentenboek met leerzame vertellingen" (A nice picture book with instructive stories) (also known as Piet de Smeerpoets), published by H.A.M. Roelants in 1898 after the first (lithographed) edition of 1848. Various editions were brought out from this reprint each with minor variations. As was usual for that time, the title page shows a hotchpotch of typefaces and also small illustrations which do not lead one to suppose that the educational content was, from time to time, also quite sadistic.
