contents: A fine lithograph from the "Collection des costumes des provinces septentrionales du Royaume des Pays-Bas". The girl on the left seems to be reading an interesting passage to the lady on the right. She is fairly simply dressed which indicates that the ability to read was not restricted to the upper classes in the eighteenth century.
