contents: Around 1775 young men of letters such as Jacobus Bellamy and Rhijnvis Feith started to concern themselves with the illustrations of their volumes of poetry, but that was mostly restricted to a single frontispiece. Willem Bilderdijk (1756-1831) made illustrations and vignettes himself for a number of his books, such as for this volume of poetry and the contemplations about matters near to his heart.
