contents: This ordinance for the booksellers' guild from 1720 is part of a large collection of by-laws and ordinances for the city of Rotterdam, published in the first half of the eighteenth century. In the booksellers' guild for this town were included "the trades of selling books, paper, pens, ink and sealing wax and bookbinding as well as the printing of books and the use of the printing press".
