contents: The bastarda is just as the textura a letter modelled on the gotic script with the same name. The script used as a model for the design of the type was, however, less formal, quicker to write and usually used for works in the vernacular. The bastarda typeface was used in the late 15th and early 16th century, also for Ducth-language works.
