contents: Bookbinding of gold-tooled red morocco. The binding is by the master bookbinder Albert Magnus (1642-1689), who produced the most luxurious bindings since 1667 in Amsterdam, and whose influence extended into the 18th century. Contemporary French bindings inspired his work.
