contents: From the commemorative book of the Koninklijke boek- en steendrukkerij Corns. Immig & Zoon: 'In the printing house, presses of all sorts and sizes whirr and buzz. Here a novel is being printed, there the sheets of a trade journal are being created, a third machine is supplying commercial printed matter and yet another is working on a large advertisement: anything that has been written by scholars and scientists appears here in black and white'. On the left is a large Koenig and Bauer illustration press which works at a rate of 1500 to 1700 prints per hour. On the right is a platen press and, in the corner, the hand press with which Cornelis Immig started his business.
