contents: Dutch edition of an account of a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, undertaken by the Dean of Mainz, in the company of the painter Erhard Rewich of Utrecht. In 1486 the Latin and German editions appeared in Mainz, in 1488 this Dutch one. All three editions name the Dutchman Rewich as the printer, but he used the material of the Mainz printer Schoeffer. The books distinguish themselves particularly by their illustrations: the first printed townscapes. They were based on the sketches made on the spot. This view of Venice, where Rewich remained for 22 days, is the largest. This image shows part of the print.
