contents: One slipcase is of gold-tooled, red-carmine morocco and black-bluish green saffian. This case can be placed into a second one, of lilac-red saffian, also gold-tooled. They are the only work that can be attributed to Hendrik de Haas, the bookbinder from Dordrecht who wrote the oldest printed work on the binding profession in the Netherlands, "De Boekbinder of volledige beschrijving van al het gene wat tot deze konst betrekking heeft" (The Bookbinder or complete description of all that is related to this art) in 1806.
