contents: This volume of poems by the socialist poetess Henriëtte van der Schalk was edited by the painter and lithographer R.N. Roland Holst, whom she married around the time of its publication. The tight layout achieved by border rules and the justification of titles and last lines was remarkably new and made this volume one of the most important 'Nieuwe Kunst' (Dutch Art Nouveau) books.
