contents: The typeface of this book is the Spectrum, after a design by Jan van Krimpen and cut in 1941-1943 by P.H. Rädisch for Joh. Enschedé en Zonen in Haarlem. The collaboration between Van Krimpen - trained as artist but self-taught as far as typography was concerned - and Joh. Enschedé began in 1923 and lasted until Van Krimpen's death in 1958.
