contents: Blind-and gold-tooled binding of brown shagreen. Both covers have a line tooling, in triangles and a central diamond, with small tooling inside. Douwe Goethart van Bommel (1822-1897) was a productive binder in Amsterdam, and father of the even more famous Elias Pieter van Bommel.
