contents: Just as literary novels often appeared in series, this children's book was also one of a series: the pantomime picture books. The adaptation of the text is by `Agatha', pseudonym of R. de Goeje, who wrote numerous stories, long or short, for children and adapted them, but who was at most one of the best among the many mediocre `lady authors of children's books' of the end of the 19th century. The illustrations are chromolithographs.
